CEF B2 by Stephen King There’s a guy like me in every federal prison in America, I guess… I’m the guy who can get it for you. Tailor made cigarettes, a bottle of brandy to celebrate your son or daughter’s high school graduation, or anything else within reason, that is. But it wasn’t always that way. I came to Shawshank when I was just twenty, for committing murder. I hadn’t planned on getting caught, but I was. The judge called what I had done “an evil crime,” and it was; but it is also in the past now. Have I rehabilitated myself, you ask? I don’t even know what that word means. I think it’s a politician’s word. It may have some other meaning, and it may be that I will have a chance to find out, but that is the future… Otto-Classics Graded Readers Series are outstanding classics written by famous writers. The language and vocabulary in the books are controlled and simplified by specialist ELT authors and compilers according to Common European Framework so that they can be easily understood by new learners of English. Depending on the eight levels from A1 to B2+, the longer stories are divided into a number of chapters and every chapter has its own activities. Some of the activities in the books are meant to be done in pairs. You may work with a partner to solve problems and design projects that reflect not only your own thinking but also new ideas you and your mates will discover by working in groups.
